Ghana has entered into a five-year Africa exclusive events deal to host one of the biggest urban music beach festival, Afro Nation annually.
The deal was signed between the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the operators of Afro Nation, Horizon Events Limited, whereby Ghana exclusively hosts the event in Africa for the next five years.
The deal was disclosed BY a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko via his social media handles as commentary on the major highlights of the maiden UK-Africa Summit.
According to Mr Otchere-Darko, the deal avails a great opportunity to “entrepreneurs, small and medium sized businesses for [at least five years] to focus on exploiting well the anticipated annual Christmas Traffic”
He added that the Akufo-Addo led government is keen on sustaining “the trade boom” in the country.
Last year’s Afro Nation Event held in Ghana thrilled thousands with performances from big acts such as Alkaline, Burna Boy, Shatta Wale , Stonebwoy and R2Bees.
