Yofi Grant is African Business Personality of the Year

Yofi Grant, the CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), has been named the African Business Personality of the Year 2022 by the prestigious International Investor Magazine. In addition, the GIPC was also awarded the Best FDI Destination in Africa for the year 2022.

The International Investor Magazine acknowledged Mr Grant’s three decades of successful career and experience in investment banking and finance as he heads the Ghana Investment Promotion Agency, which operates under the Office of the President of Ghana. The award also recognized his contributions as a Director representing Sub-Saharan Africa on the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) steering board. In this capacity, Mr. Grant collaborates with WAIPA partners to address some of the continent’s and the world’s most pressing issues, particularly in the areas of investment promotion, FDI attraction, and promoting open and free trade.

The award serves as a testament to the CEO’s unwavering commitment and exceptional leadership in promoting investment and attracting foreign direct investment to Ghana. Yofi Grant’s work at GIPC is to showcase Ghana as a safe, secure and investor-friendly destination that offers a stable environment for businesses to thrive. Under his leadership, the GIPC has implemented innovative strategies to increase foreign investments, particularly in strategic sectors of the economy. Mr. Grant’s experience in financial markets and investment has helped him co-found several companies, including Grant Dupuis Investment Limited and Praxis Fortune Caliber. As a council member of the Continental Business Network of the African Union and a member of the board of trustees of the OACP Endowment and Trust Fund, he is committed to shaping the continent’s financial and economic transformation.

The Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN) also recognizes Mr. Grant as a fellow. This recognition highlights his commitment to fostering global collaboration and leadership, which has undoubtedly contributed to the success of the GIPC and Ghana’s economy.
