You are the Bane of Ghana’s Problems – Pastor accuses Colleagues

election2024

Pastor Yaw Frimpong, Founder and Leader of Redemption Fire Prayer Ministry has attributed Ghana’s problems to his fellow pastors who indulgence in flirtations with politicians.

This, he noted, has held Pastors back form telling politicians the real problem of the nation, and instead resorted to praise-singing for politicians, who continue to oppress the people with bad policies which militate against the economic progress of the citizenry. This according to him is because the Politician knows that he has “a powerful man of God behind him”, so he will not do the right thing. For, after all he has the protection of God at all cost.

Pastor Frimpong made this known in an exclusive interview with ghananewsonline.com.gh at his church at “Tetegu Junction” near Kasoa.

He could not comprehend how some outstanding pastors in the country should align themselves to, and flirt openly with the two main political parties in the country – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He wondered why such pastors would sing praises to these parties when in government, instead of pointing out to their governments problems of the people and the country.

“You get access to Presidents, and instead of preaching the rightful message of the suffering people and country to them, which is your mandate you rather go singing their praises because of your stomach!” he exclaimed.

According to the Pastor, because of this, politicians have refused to repent to do the right thing. Instead, they resort to bad policies that afflict the people. He subsequently appealed to his colleagues who are in bed with politicians, thus turning them to refrain from these acts and instead, tell the Politician the truth, since this is the mandate and call of the Pastor.

Pastors Are Not God; Don’t Use Their Names In Prayers

Pastor Frimpong also expressed misgivings at the use of names of certain Pastors in prayer by the followers. He argued that pastors are not God. Therefore, their names should not be used in prayer by their followers “Obofo Nyame”, Kwadwo Boakye Nyame”, “Obinim Nyame”, etc. Nyame used in prayer by their congregants, he condemned into to, stressing that these pastors are mortals and will die one day.

“So if one used Prophet T.B. Joshua’s name in prayer, now that he is no more, how will his ardent followers, who use his name in prayers pray?” he asked. He was quick to point out that all those who use the names of the Pastors in prayers are doomed.

According to Him, the Bible stipulates clearly that there is no name in the universe, greater than that of Jesus. “Therefore when Pastors teach you how to pray, leave their names behind and use that of Jesus, which is over and above every other name!” he stated.

Pastor Frimpong added that he will never stop preaching this message until those practitioners stopped, stressing that he was not doing this in envy of, or jealousy to any Pastor. Rather, the truth must be told. He indicated that heaven is the main and obvious choice of every Christian. And the only thing that will send them there, is the true word. Therefore, his wish is that all Christians go to heaven after death to the praise of God.

“God Is My Father Is Bad Attitude”

Pastor Frimpong could not fathom why some pastors should arrogate to themselves that “God is solely their father”. “If God is solely their father, where is the Father of all other humans, when the Bible tells us that we are all sons of God? If that is the case, then why should some pastors lay claim to God as their sole father? So, the rest of us, where and who is our father?” he queried in wonderment.

According to him, God is everybody’s father. So that arrogant claim by some pastors should stop. That they should see every human being as God’s son or daughter, preach the true word to them for salvation, by telling the truth, and stop deceiving the public.
