Dr. Bawumia, the current vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections, initially proposed a system that would enable Ghanaians to buy phones and pay in installments through a credit scoring mechanism. But this promise was been met with widespread skepticism on social media, with many questioning its feasibility.
