You will have your share of the National Cake – Kwaku Tetteh

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region, Simon Kwaku Tetteh, has assured the people in the Municipality of equal share of the national cake.

At a short ceremony to break the ground for the construction of an ultramodern health center for the people of Wawase, a community in the middle belt of the Municipality, the MCE told the people “you are not left out of the Development of the Municipal

“The middle belt is not left out in our Developmental agenda, I want to assure you that we will distribute the national cake allocated to the Municipality equally without any discrimination,” he stated.

According to the MCE the health center which is expected to be completed in twelve months will help minimize the burden residents go through in seeking medical attention in the area and will not only benefit the people of Wawase but also its surrounding communities.

He reaffirm his commitment to transform the rural communities in the middle belt of his Municipality into an urban settlement by the end of his term in office.

Recounting some interventions put in place to develop the middle belt of the Municipality the MCE stated that “Wawase is currently having a solar powered mechanised borehole with Overhead Poly tank, Rural electrification project and now a modern health facility to help proper health care.

“As we speak Oborpah Djikiti which is one of the middle belt communities is witnessing the construction of a health centre and a Kindergarten Block, both projects are currently at the finishing level waiting commissioning. The project which is part of our rural belt transformation is being constructed by the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly in partnership with Pencil of Promise which is a Non-Governmental Organisation NGO” the MCE emphasised.

Simon Kwaku tetteh explained that the Wawase project will be monitored by the Ghana Strengthening Accountability mechanism to ensure value for money.

“This project will be duly monitored by the Ghana’s Strengthening Accountability Mechanism (Gsam) which is being facilitated in the Municipality by Youth and Women empowerment (YOWE) to ensure value for money and also to help residents make their inputs about issues regarding to the projects,” hr said.

He later ordered for the distribution of Twelve thousand litres of a subsidiary organic fertilizer from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to support farmers under the Planting for Food and Jobs programs.
