Yuletide: Dr. Prempeh Wishes Manhyia South Well

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has ahead of the yuletide sent warmest facilitations to the people of the area.

“The birth of Jesus Christ affords all of the singular honour to peacefully co-exist as family and friends and be each other’s keeper.’’ he said.

Dr. Prempeh, who is also the Minister of Education, in a message, said that Christmas should afford the people of Manhyia South the opportunity to take stock of what the year 2020 came along with and how they could build on their strength and work on their weaknesses for the better.

“Let us all take stock of the 2020 and fashion out how best we can move towards 2021 because of the uniqueness of our great area, Manhyia South,’’ he said.

He said: “Let us celebrate the Christmas and usher in the New Year in modesty because we are not in normal times.’’

Dr. Prempeh, who is COVID-19 Ambassador, said that the festivities should not make people behave as if the dreaded bug had left the shores of Ghana.

“Let us endeavour to observe all COVID-19 protocols for the sake of our own lives and that of others,’’ he said.

He said that, with caution and carefulness, Ghana could easily deal with the COVID-19 situation, adding “COVID-19 is real so let us be extra vigilant and careful.”

Dr. Prempeh said: “As we are all preparing for Christmas and welcome 2021, I wish the good people of Manhyia South the best of festivities and promise to continue to be your humble servant always.’’
