ECOWAS has joined a growing list of countries across the world that have criticised Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.
The two countries have been engaged in fierce fighting for control of some key cities in Ukraine after Russia’s military personnel stormed that country.

A statement by ECOWAS said it is following with great concern the military invasion that has claimed hundreds of lives, particularly among civilians.
The release also urged “both parties to stop the fight and use dialogue to solve their differences in the interest of peace in this region.”
