The data also provides a detailed breakdown of voter trust across different political affiliations.

Amongst NPP (New Patriotic Party) voters, a majority of 64% showed their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to fix the economy, but an intriguing 18% expressed their trust in John Dramani Mahama, indicative of cross-party appeal. Alan Kyerematen and other candidates received 9% and 8% of the NPP vote, respectively.

Conversely, the NDC (National Democratic Congress) base displayed overwhelming support for their candidate, with 93% trusting Mahama to tackle the economic challenges, while a marginal 4% placed their trust in Bawumia, followed by 1% for Kyerematen and 2% for other candidates.

The poll also shed light on the sentiments of the floating voters, a crucial demographic.

50% expressed their trust in Mahama while Bawumia and Kyerematen received 19% and 11% of their support, respectively. 21% were inclined towards other options.

Voters who align with smaller parties showed a distinct preference, with 38% backing Kyerematen, underscoring his appeal beyond the major political factions. However, 13% of these voters trusted Mahama, and a lesser 8% trusted Bawumia, with a significant 40% opting for other candidates.

Amongst participants who preferred not to disclose their party affiliation, Mahama was trusted by 34%, followed by Bawumia at 19%, Kyerematen at 14%, and a substantial 33% favoured other candidates.

The results highlight a stark contrast in voter trust, with the NDC’s base solidly behind Mahama, while NPP voters are divided among several candidates.

Mahama’s significant lead among floating voters and those who withhold their party allegiance underscores his broad appeal across the electorate.

In contrast, Kyerematen’s popularity among supporters of smaller parties suggests his potential to influence the political landscape beyond traditional party lines.
