I will rescue Atwima Nwabiagya South from hardship – Ind. PC
An Independent Parliamentary Candidate for the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Anthony Willie, has declared a state of emergency calling for a total overhaul in the political leadership of the constituency. He said the constituency is teetering on the edge of the abyss of a total developmental wipeout under the administration of the current Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive.
Dr. Anthony Willie disclosed this in an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh. He said Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anwhere and Hon. Amoa Awuku, the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive respectively have failed the Atwima Nwabiagya South woefully, and that they cannot develop the constituency. He revealed that the development of the area is heading towards the wrong direction.
According to the educationalists, “Atwima Nwabiagya South has not benefited from any project from the central government in the past four years, be it one million dollars per constituency or the factories that are being built, nothing at all has been received. I will not blame Akufo-Addo for not doing anything in this Constituency because our honourable Member of Parliament is incompetent and can not lobby for anything for the Constituency.
“There is nothing to point fingers to in this election, absolutely nothing, people are crying for jobs, roads, water, electricity, clinics, schools among other socio economic development to better the lives of the indegience,” he stated.
“We need someone who has the Constituency at heart and ready to advocate for it’s developmental agenda, we need a patriotic missionary to rescue our area from this hardship, who can create an employment, and that is what I stand for, I am that patriotic missionary who is ever ready to go all length to see our Constituency benefit from the national cake, a vote for Anthony Willie is a vote for development,” he noted.
He challenged the MCE to point fingers at a project his office has initiated with all the resources at his disposal over the past four years, accusing him of inglecting the call by the community to construct a bridge on Asuo Yeboah and Dwohyen rivers which have claimed some life’s over the years.
The Parliamentary Candidate who claims to be a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by birth and blood after canvassing for vote for President Akufo-Addo explained that his action is to correct the problems emerging which has brought disgrace to the PARTY and making it unattractive in a Constituency that has produced a President of the republic.
“I will create employment for the youth, I will enroll the unemployed youth into technical and vocational institutions as well as apprenticeship, this will be done with the common fund that is allocated to the sitting Member of Parliament,” he promised
