Asante Kotoko sweeps five awards at the Ghana Football Awards 2022 

The Reds picked up more awards on the night as their CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, was adjudged the best CEO in the country for the second straight year.

Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko, won the most awards at the 2022 edition of the Ghana Football Awards.

The event, which took place at the Grand Arena, Conference Centre saw the Porcupine Warriors take home five awards across different categories.

The Reds picked up more awards on the night as their CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, was adjudged the best CEO in the country for the second straight year.

They also won the Male Team of the Year edging out the likes of Samartex, and FA Cup finalists, Bechem United.

The team’s supporter group, Porcupine Tertiary, was named the Special Fan of the Year while the team’s efforts on social media earned them the Most Vibrant Club on Social Media gong.

The man who led them to their first league ttitle since 2014, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum was also adjudged the Men’s coach of the Year.

Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana in the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League as the days draw by.

The event was attended by high profile personalities in sports, music, cinema, fashion and business such as former Black Stars players, C.K Akonnor, Laryea Kingston, Asamoah Gyan, Tony Baffoe, movie star Beverly Afaglo, fashion icon Elikem Kumordzi, legendary musician Akosua Agyapong and a host of others.
