Adansi Apagya gets a new Krontihene

The Krontihene also known in private life as Cosmos Asamoah Antwi is a former Senior Officer at AngloGold Ashanti

Chief of Adanse Apagya, Nana Bafour Gyankoko II, who doubles as the Kyidomhene of the Dompoase Traditional Council in the Adansi South  District of the Ashanti Region together with the  Apagya community has enstooled Nana Adu Gyanfi II as the Krontihene of Adansi Apagya.

After swearing the oath of allegiance, Nana Baffour Gyankoko II charged the newly enstooled Krontihene to always adhere and protect the customs and traditions of the Apagya community and the traditional Council as a whole.

“We are the custodians of our traditions and itis our duty to uphold this customs and traditions we inherit from our ancestors, our only duty as leaders of our community is to seek for the development and the well-being of our subjects and that is exactly what we are doing and expect you to bring on board new ideas to achieve our development objectives,” he stated.

In an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh the newly enstooled Krontihene also known in private life as Cosmos Asamoah Antwi – a former Senior Officer at AngloGold Ashanti expressed his profound gratitude to the king makers of the Adansi Apagya community and the Dompoase Traditional Council, especially Nana Baffour Gyankoko II, accepting him as Adansi Apagya Krontihene. He promised to use his position to support the development agenda of  Apagyaman and the Traditional Council.

Outlining his vision for the area, he called on the government to fast track the upgrading of the Community Day Senior High School establishment by the immediate John Dramani Mahama administration, which is currently being upgraded to a boarding house facility.

He also called on the youth to always avail themselves for the development of the community.
