Afrancho-Akumadan: DCE secure’s 300 Streets Bulbs to revive night life

District Chief Executive for Offinso North, Albert Sefa Boampong, has secured about three hundred (300) street bulbs to replace all outmoded street bulbs in his area of jurisdiction.

Residents of Offinso North District and Commuters of the Techiman-Kumasi highway had lived for some years without Street lights and this has massively affected their daily activities especially at night.

Speaking in an interview monitored by elvisanokyenews.com, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong revealed that he prioritized the security of his People hence his swift action in providing street bulbs to eradicate darkness in any area of Offinso North District.

“By God’s grace, after President Nana Akufo-Addo nominated me and I was confirmed by the Assembly Members, I realized the town was in darkness because the street lights in the district were outmoded and using old technologies so I decided as a matter of urgency, change the technology used for the street lights and also replace the street bulbs” He said.

According to him, his first project, which is the replacement of the street bulbs, had the full backing and support of his Member of Parliament, Hon. Collins Ntim.

He said “I and Hon. Member of Parliament, Hon. Collins Ntim talked about the project and he said it was a good project therefore we need to officially write to the appropriate authorities, we wrote the necessary letters to the Ministry of Energy, and with the glory of God, Hon. A.C Ntim pushed for us to get the necessary bulbs and the required logistics to change all our street lights”
