The Acting President of the Council, Nana Bonsu, stated during a news conference at Duayaw-Nkwanta that the Council had not yet set a date for the one-week celebration.
Tradition dictates that all businesses in the Duayaw-Nkwanta municipality must close until further notice, including stores, bars, restaurants, and markets.
Nana Bonsu stated that employees in the official sector were also expected to come to work dressed in red or black, and that anyone who disobeyed the order would face consequences.
Additionally, he urged the police to be on the lookout and detain anyone whose actions would endanger the general tranquility of the community.
