Akufo-Addo embarrassed at John Boadu’s Birthday party due to Dumsor
Revelers at the birthday party of the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, were allegedly forced to use their phones as torchlight to enable President Akufo-Addo get out of the dark after an unexpected ‘dumsor’ hit the venue of the celebration and the entire vicinity of Nanakrom in Accra.
The birthday party which was organized at the General Secretary’s plush Nanakrom mansion had President Akufo-Addo and other top officials of the government and the NPP in attendance.
Misfortune however hit the party when the ‘dumsor’ announced its presence despite the numerous claims by President Akufo-Addo and his government that they had permanently solved it.
Desperate attempts to put on a standby generator proved futile as the plant turned faulty. This led to loud murmuring among the attendees who were obviously embarrassed by the situation.
As there was no immediate resolution to the blackout, guests were asked to turn on the torchlight on their phones to enable President Akufo-Addo file out for security reasons.
After his departure people started departing leaving John Boadu and a few of his pals to heavily drink their disappointment away.
