The Black Satellites have been paired alongside Benin, Congo and The Gambia in Group A of the 13th African Games Male Football competition.
Ghana’s U20 team will represent the nation in the African Games which will be staged in Accra from March 8-23, 2024.
The CAF Executive Committee resolved that the eight Quarterfinalists at the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023 together with the host Ghana will qualify for the event.
Also, the same age category applied during the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON will be adopted for the African Games Male Competition.
Coach Desmond Ofei’s side are currently in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in preparation for the competition.
Ghana are the defending champions having won the Male football competition at the 2011 edition of the African Games after beating South Africa 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
