Actor-turned-politician John Dumelo has lost his bid to enter Parliament in Monday’s polls.
Mr Dumelo, who stood on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), lost to incumbent lawmaker Lydia Alhassan of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Ms Alhassan polled 39,851 while the award-winning actor polled 37,778.
The independent candidate polled a woeful 108.
More than 105,000 registered voters are in the constituency.
