2024 Elections: R. O. Frimpong declares Intention to contest as Independent Presidential Candidate

According to him, his ambition has always been to save the country from nation wreckers and securing better future for the next generation.

 

The Founder and Leader of the People’s Development Volunteers (PDV), Richmond Owusu Frimpong, has officially declared his intentions to contest the 2024 Presidential elections as an Independent Candidate.

The leader of the PDV said the Country requires a different kind of leadership and approach in bringing the Ghana back on its toes.

Speaking at an event at Ashiaman Market on July 26, 2022, R. O. Frimpong maintained that, he has what it takes to restore the hope that Ghanaians have lost in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, his ambition has always been to save the country from nation wreckers and securing better future for the next generation.

He said he can run the country effectively with only fourteen (14) Ministries.

The entrepreneur mentioned the ministries as Education, Industry and Agriculture, Defence and Interior, Justice, Foreign Affairs, Health and Happiness, Lands and Natural Resources, Youth, Energy petroleum and Transport, Works, Housing and Construction, Communication and Information, Gender and Children, Highway and Road Rehabilitation as his Key Ministries.

He added that, his administration will ensure that the current defective National Constitution of Ghana is amended when he becomes the president.

Mr. R.O Frimpong who anchored his vision on quality leadership and the use of good democratic process said vote buying, winner takes all and confident strikers, are some of the factors contributing to the challenges of the nation.

The ceremony also saw the swearing in of executives who would speerhead the affairs of the movement.

Notable among them were Michael Tetteh – National Organizer Greater Accra, Sylvia Abane Western Regional – Women Organizer, Comfort Datiey – Ashiaman Women Organizer, Mahamad Faisa Chairman for Ashiaman area, and ten others.

Richmond Owusu Frimpong reminded his executives to work in all sincerity.
