The Member of Parliament for Kpando in the Volta Region, Sebastian Deh has stated that the 24-hour Economy has become a household name and that the budget has left no stone unturned in delivering hope and the needed finance policy guidelines.
He mentioned the optimism and joy of his constituents regarding the big push contained in the budget statement submitted to parliament subject to approval, which he said would address the Kpando – Torkor road, the landing site at Torkor, and the auxiliary roads to farming communities in the Kpando Municipality.
Mr. Deh unequivocally stated that the “budget has creatively made provisions for the national apprenticeship program, the school feeding program, continuation of free SHS, GETfund being uncapped, the increments of the Capitation grant, Free Sanitary Pads, Teacher and Nursing Training Allowances among other social interventions targeted at the Youth, Women and the generality of the Ghanaian populace”.
He made this known when he had his turn to debate the budget statement and economic policy of the government on the floor of Parliament “which seeks to Reset the Ghanaian economy and offer a trusted hand to the vulnerable especially women and the youth”.
