A Word of Advice to Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh

Dr Bawumia is a fantastic flagbearer hopeful and doesn’t deserve to be the victim of your utterances. By saying what you said, the repercussions will directly affect your candidate because it is in his name that you defied GOD.

Qur’an Chapter 81 (Al Takweer) Verse 29 states explicitly: “وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ” which meaning translates as follows: “But ye shall not will except as ALLAH wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds.” The reason I have quoted this verse of the Holy Qur’an is because Dr Bawumia is a pious Muslim, who knows, above all things, that nothing can happen if ALLAH (GOD; DIEU; NYAME; ODUMFO NYANKOPON) does not Will it.

It is imperative that in every aspect of one’s life, humility must be the dominating characteristic otherwise no endeavour will be blessed, and anything that is not blessed is bound for doom! No instance is absolute, even when you have invoked the Most High to make it come true, otherwise, there will be no poor person on earth! You see, there are those that blaspheme because their religious beliefs are by format one great blasphemy, and this is my opinion, at least, but the minute the name of GOD is used in vain and challenged in such an egregious manner, it becomes an intentional one! You must understand that GOD is a jealous GOD WHO will not allow such hypocrisy and sheer show of arrogance to fly, so for Frank Annoh-Dompreh to state, defiantly, that Dr Bawumia will become the next flagbearer of the NPP “unless when GOD does not Die” is a statement of doom! First of all, the fact that you used the word “when” puts a time to the life of GOD, the ever living the ever merciful! That is the most dangerous thing you can do to yourself, putting your soul in jeopardy, which you must repent to save!

Yes, everyone is enthusiastic about their candidate, and, obviously Dr Bawumia is yours, just as people of different persuasions are for Alan Cash, Kennedy Agyapong, Boakye Agyarko, and so on, but no one, and I mean no one, has defied GOD so blatantly as to cause fear in me and churn my stomach. Dr Bawumia is a fantastic flagbearer hopeful and doesn’t deserve to be the victim of your utterances. By saying what you said, the repercussions will directly affect your candidate because it is in his name that you defied GOD.

You ought to know that you have caused Dr Bawumia’s campaign to backslide several notches because of what you uttered. I have been very specific with my advice to him that he should distance himself from your statement and seek the pleasure of ALLAH in order that his campaign can gain ground enough to win the race!

Have you forgotten the repercussions of Pharaoh’s bold excesses against GOD? The Merciful GOD gave him so many chances to repent, but he didn’t and, finally, he was drowned in the red sea. KyerƐ sƐ ne tumi Ɛne nagyapadeƐ niyinara toƆ nsuonomo!

So please withdraw your statement, rephrase it and seek repentance. Let your will be that of GOD’s and all will be just fine, after all, ALLAH says in the Qur’an, Chapter 8 verse 33: “وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ٣٣”, which meaning translates as follows: “But Allah would neither punish them while you, ˹O Prophet˺, are in their midst nor would He ever punish them if they prayed for forgiveness.”

Please note the underlined and do the necessary. It is obvious that you committed a grave mistake, but I would like to believe that it was an innocent one out of excitement. That can be corrected, and all’s well that ends well!

A word to the wise is enough!
