A tumor is simply an abnormal swelling, usually of a tissue. Brain Tumor is therefore the abnormal swelling of brain cells/tissues. The tumor can form in the brain cell or grow elsewhere and spread to the brain. The tumor begins in a small size but as it enlarges, it puts pressure on the surrounding tissues and also impacts the brain.

Diagnosis can be very difficult but the tumor can be discovered when performing imaging tests for another medical issue: Just like the doctor tells a woman that she has fibroid during or after child-birth surgery.
