The presence of the ambulance in Parliament on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, fueled claims that the MP who also doubles as the Chieftaincy Minister, had been transported to vote on the bill despite his condition.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has confirmed earlier speculations that the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, Ebenezer Kojo Kum was ferried to Parliament in an ambulance for the consideration of the controversial Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy).
