Akufo-Addo and Stephen Ntim are worse than Sir John: Looting La Lands, Lagoons, etc

Stephen Ntim who is vying to become the National Chairman of the NPP has not denied the damning allegation by Kennedy Agyepong who has vowed to derail Stephen Ntim's campaign while President Akufo-Addo and Samuel Abu Jinapor have pretended they have not heard...

They sold everything in Greater Accra from Lands to estuaries, lagoons to salt in 2020 ahead of election.

Below are a few of the Land Looting episodes ignored by President Akufo-Addo and his Lands, Forestry and Mineral Resources Minister under whose watch the stealing of State Lands, Forests, Estuaries,  Lagoons and Mineral Resources including Salt is happening…

Kennedy Agyepong admits to being a victim of the Stephen Ntim State Lands Stealing and Selling Scam while Stephen Ntim was head of the Lands Commission.

Stephen Ntim who is vying to become the National Chairman of the NPP has not denied the damning allegation by Kennedy Agyepong who has vowed to derail Stephen Ntim’s campaign while President Akufo-Addo and Samuel Abu Jinapor have pretended they have not heard…

The Special Prosecutor must get serious now that he has a Board, thus no excuses…

On 7th August, 2020 the Ghanaian Times Newspaper published the declassification of the Kpeshie Lagoon in La and President Akufo-Addo changing the mangrove from protected water front to a mixed use similar to the controversial Achimota Forest Landgrab.

The filling of the Kpeshie Lagoon and the resultant flush floods are the direct result of the legalization of the illegality by declassification by government.

It is therefore hypocritical of President Akufo-Addo to order the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to undertake the demolitions of buildings on waterways including the Kpeshie Lagoon area after declassifying it from restricted to a mixed use.

In November 2020, also ahead of the General election, President Akufo-Addo signed an Executive Instrument giving the Ada Songhor Salt and Lagoon as well as the estuary to McDan’s Electrochem Limited.

The Songhor Lagoon and Salt Executive Instrument is just like Sir John giving the Achimota Forest and Sakumono Ramsar site in his will to family members and Charles Owusu Forever!

The people of Ada joined the recent 2-Day Demonstration to the Jubilee House and Parliament symbolically sprinkling Salt from the Ada Songhor Lagoon along the entire distance of the Demonstration.

On 29th November,  2020 after then Lands Minister, Kwaku Asoma-Cheremeh and the NPP National Chairman Freddie Worsemawu Blay had indicated to the Chiefs and People of LA that the Kpletso Lands which were being stolen using the Military would be returned to the La Stool, Akufo-Addo made a U-turn day’s before the election…

Instead, the Kpletso Lands were never returned, rather on 15th April 2021 men in Ghana Armed Forces uniforms were unleashed to open fire at Kpletso in the presence of DCOP Kwesi Ofori and other senior Police officers and brutally assaulted journalists and citizens of La, two of whom have since died of their injuries…

The late Adjorkor, who never recovered from her head injuries will be buried this week at La.

Nii Ayikwei Okine of Citi TV and several other journalists who were injured have been ignored by Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who opened the propaganda office at the National Media Commission on World Press Freedom Day claiming it will be used to coordinate the safety of journalists…

President Akufo-Addo’s silence on Kpletso, Dominic Nutitul’s inaction on Kpletso and Samuel Abu Jinapor’s lies on the floor of Parliament concerning the Kpletso Report are not a coincidence.

On 16th April, 2021 the Military High Command promised Ghanaians it was conducting an investigation into the Kpletso Shooting and Assault by armed men in Ghana Army Uniform but has not made public its findings if any investigation was even conducted…

The Ghana Police Service and the National Media Commission both refused to conduct any investigation into the Kpletso Shooting and Assault despite receiving Petitions and Reminders…

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice claimed the Petition for an investigation into the Kpletso Shooting and Assault was receiving attention but till date nothing has happened…

Samuel Abu Jinapor claimed that he wrote to the Defence Minister, Dominic Nititul to stop the military from further construction work at the disputed Kpletso land but has been ignored and the construction work is still underway…

It is not surprising that the Ghana Police Service after claiming that the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo was not involved in the Looting of State Lands and Bungalows acquired for the Civil Aviation Authority at Cantonments, failed to name, arrest or stop the thieves Stealing and developing the Cantonments Civil Aviation Land…

Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor claimed that he has ordered the developers at the Cantonments Civil Aviation Land to stop work yet sheepishly looks on as the construction work continues.

Samuel Abu Jinapor has not commented on the confirmation by the Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission that his Ministry has signed an Agreement with the notorious Landguard Clemence Gyato and Anyok Holdings to reclaim encroached State Lands and be paid with portions of the State Lands which is subsequently shared with some government officials, such as happened with the Adenta Civil Aviation Lands.

Samuel Abu Jinapor has neither denied that 52acres of Prime Airport Hills Lands were allocated to a private real estate developer, ESI GBEDEMAH, for the price of 1acre,  under the watch of Samuel Abu Jinapor even after he and President Akufo-Addo had publicly stated that the Lands Commission must stop such allocations…

The list goes on and on…

The long list of living Land Looters fraudulently allocated State Lands including former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo and Yaw Osafo Maafo and many other high profile personalities which have been presented to the President, Attorney General and Special Prosecutor may never be acted upon.

There is an effort to protect those who have stolen State Lands and Bungalows in prime areas worth billions of dollars which could have rescued Ghana from its present circumstances that has sent it to the IMF.

Samuel Abu Jinapor must name the so-called powerful people who he alleged on national television, have been coming to his office to pressure him to allocate prime State Acquired Lands to them.

The Lands Minister said these morally bankrupt people who are revered in our society, after driving around on weekends looking for State Lands and Bungalows with little or no activity, come to him in his office to demand that he allocates them these State Lands…

An audit of all State Acquired Lands is an imperative.

All encroached and unused State Lands must be returned to the Original Land Owners as per Article 20 of the Constitution of Ghana as done in the recently returned 409acres of Ashanti Lands to the Ashantihene in trust for the Subjects of the GOLDEN STOOL.

La Lands must be similarly returned to the La Stool through the La Mantse, once a new La Mantse is enstooled.

The Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor told Parliament that only about 10% of Accra Lands have been digitized, fortunately most of the State Lands or La Lands from Adenta, Legon, Madina, Airport, Cantonments and Labone where the Lands Commission has its offices located have been digitized, so government should have no difficulty in appraising and returning the Lands to the La Stool.

All State Acquired Lands are covered by documentation that State the Location with site plan, size of land, duration of use including start date and purpose of acquisition;

If any especially the purpose of acquisition changes, per the 1992 Constitution of Ghana the Original Land Owners have the right of first refusal, not so-called private powerful persons or developers, Goro-Boys or cronies of people in government, their family members, friends and business associates.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators.

U-Turn on the Landgrab is about to happen, unexplained wealth particularly landed property will help Ghana recover its hidden billions, uncover corruption and money Laundering using fraudulent Land allocations as cover-up.

In 2007, La Lands were stolen, sold and we are told used to balance the budget in Ghana’s Jubilee Year.

Together we must end the Genocidal Grabbing of La Stool Lands and the potential Landlessness of La.

TOGETHER WE CAN.
