Akufo-Addo to be impeached…if he reviews Free SHS

Refer to the relevant sections of the Constitution which President Akufo-Addo refused to heed to and for which reason the Free SHS Policy has crashed.

Akufo-Addo is reckless, has no regard for the consequences of his actions even in the face of clear constitutional edicts;

Article 25 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana settled how Free SHS must be implemented and gave further guidance on how all levels of education in Ghana are to be progressively implemented and funded based on the availability of resources…

Refer to the relevant sections of the Constitution which President Akufo-Addo refused to heed to and for which reason the Free SHS Policy has crashed.

RIGHT TO EDUCATION

… (Article. 25)

(1) All persons shall have the right to equal educational opportunities and facilities and with a view to achieving the full realisation of that right—

(a) basic education shall be free, compulsory and available to all;

(b) secondary education in its different forms, including technical and vocational education, shall be made generally available and accessible to all by every appropriate means, and in particular, by the progressive introduction of free education;

(c) higher education shall be made equally accessible to all, on the basis of capacity, by every appropriate means, and in particular, by progressive introduction of free education;

(d) functional literacy shall be encouraged or intensified as far as possible;

(e) the development of a system of schools with adequate facilities at all levels shall be actively pursued.

RIGHT TO EDUCATION

(Article. 38)

(1) The State shall provide educational facilities at all levels and in all the Regions of Ghana, and shall, to the greatest extent feasible, make those facilities available to all citizens.

(2) The Government shall, within two years after Parliament first meets after the coming into force of this Constitution, draw up a programme for implementation within the following ten years, for the provision of free, compulsory and universal basic education.

(3) The State shall, subject to the availability of resources, provide—

(a) equal and balanced access to secondary and other appropriate pre-university education, equal access to university or equivalent education, with emphasis on science and technology;

(b) a free adult literacy programme, and a free vocational training, rehabilitation and resettlement of disabled persons; and

(c) life-long education.

Candidate Akufo-Addo ignored the wise option adopted by his predecessor, President John Mahama, of Progressively Free Education based on the availability of resources and provision of infrastructure and support systems to guarantee quality education at all levels.

Candidate Akufo-Addo wanted to win power so badly that without knowing the cost and without any regard for the consequences announced on BBC that he would implement his populist Free SHS policy…

President Akufo-Addo upon assuming office till date, had no policy document blueprint on Free SHS and went further to prevent any support from parents, old students associations and non-central government being brought to help the funding of his Free SHS programme.

Today, after the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government depleted the entire National Purse and taking Ghana into bankruptcy;

After the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government rendered the entire education sector comatose;

The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has supervised the collapse of the School Feeding Programme, unavailability of school textbooks, unpaid teachers motivation, salary and allowances leading to strikes and closure of schools at all levels…

The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government resisted reviewing the Free SHS programme and punished those who tried.

The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government equated “review of the Free SHS” with the “cancellation of the Free SHS” policy, a decision the government said it will never make.

After willfully destroying the entire education sector by forcing the Free SHS Policy when there was no sustainable source of funding;

The Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has finally made a U-TURN ON THE FREE SHS POLICY inviting parents, old students associations and non-central government sources of support to RESCUE THE COLLAPSED FREE SHS POLICY.

President Akufo-Addo as President and Head of State of Ghana had the 1992 Constitution of Ghana to guide his policy of Free SHS, yet disregarded the Constitution of Ghana, thus must be held liable as demanded by some Legal luminaries and Civil Society Organisations calling for the REMOVAL OF THE PRESIDENT, THE VICE PRESIDENT AND SOME MINISTERS AND APPOINTEES.

There are legal and constitutional means that can be used for the removal of a dangerous, inept, incompetent and reckless President, his Vice President as is being advocated by many Lawyers such as Martin Kpebu, Civil Society and the generality of Ghanaians.

Head of State:

… (Article. 57)

(1) There shall be a President of the Republic of Ghana who shall be the Head of State and Head of Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ghana.

Head of State:

… (Article. 58)

(1) The executive authority of Ghana shall vest in the President and shall be exercised in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution. [Read Again]

Article 58 was breached by President Akufo-Addo when he ignored the Constitution’s prescription of Progressively Free SHS and recklessly rushed his version of Free SHS and crashed the entire education sector of Ghana.

Head of State:

…(Article. 62)

A person shall not be qualified for election as the President of Ghana unless—

(a) he is a citizen of Ghana by birth;

(b) he has attained the age of forty years; and

(c) he is a person who is otherwise qualified to be elected a Member of Parliament, [OF SOUND MIND]; except that the disqualifications set out in paragraphs (c), (d), and (e) of clause (2) of article 94 of this Constitution shall not be removed, in respect of any such person, by a presidential pardon or by the lapse of time as provided for in clause (5) of that article.

In the United States of America, the January 6th Commission is examining the “State of Mind of President Trump”; vis a vis his role in the INSURRECTION AT THE US CAPITOL an act synonymous with the INSURRECTION AT THE PARLIAMENT HOUSE OF GHANA on 6th January, 2021.

At the very least the examination of the State of Mind of President Akufo-Addo vis a vis his Free SHS Policy in breach of the Constitutional Progressively Free Education based on the availability of resources, needs to be established.

Instead of holding a Senchi-style National Dialogue to return Ghana from the abyss and reverse the abysmal performance of his government in all sectors;

President Akufo-Addo has embarked on yet another MORBID POLICY OF ANNEXING THE REMAINS AND BURIAL SITES OF THREE LATE PRESIDENTS OF GHANA;

  1. After forcibly burying Former President Rawlings denying his family’s wish to Bury him in accordance with Anlo Traditional custom…
  2. Under the guise of renovating the Asomdwe Park and possibly moving the body of President Atta-Mills against the wishes of the family…
  3. Akufo-Addo is threatening to re-zone the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum to include sections for CIA Agents and failed family politicians like JB Danquah, William Ofori-Atta, Edward Akufo Addo, Obetsebi-Lamptey…

President Akufo Addo’s obsession with death and reckless abandon for the consequences of his actions have become clear to most Ghanaians including NPP MPs from its stronghold in the Ashanti Region.

Recently the people of Suame vented their anger and nearly lynched their MP, Osei Kyei Mensa Bonsu who is the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business for the Lies of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Kleptomania government in their Constituency as it relates to the phantom “Year of Roads” announced each year over the past three years.

Nearly every segment of the Ghanaian society and every sector has been negatively impacted by the failed policies, outright lies and fanciful sloganeering by the incompetent Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.

The former Chief of Staff Kojo Mpiani and others have called for the removal of several persons, mostly Kleptomaniacs in the Akufo Addo government, warning of an imminent “Youth Uprising” synonymous to the Sri Lankan Uprising that swept away the family government in Sri Lanka.

President Akufo-Addo himself, in the studios of Peace FM, on the Kwame Sefa Kayi’s Kokrokoo show predicted an “Arab Spring type of Uprising in Ghana” under conditions identical to what exists in Ghana today.

Ghanaians prefer an orderly transfer of Power and therefore many are calling for the resignation or removal from office of Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, Ken Ofori-Atta and several Kleptomaniac Ministers and Appointees to pave way for Early General Elections.

Consensus in Ghana is that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has failed, lied and only succeeded in achieving State Capture, Kleptomania motivated collapse of private businesses  and the economy resulting in excruciating hardships to Ghanaians and they have no clue how to reverse the tide;

THEREFORE THE AKUFO-ADDO-BAWUMIA GOVERNMENT MUST GO!

The popular support Ghanaians have given to the AriseGhana KromAyeShe Demonstrations, Public Forum and similar Civil Society agitations on the back of the Workers Union Strikes are evidence of the true State of the Nation under the Corrupt, Bankrupt Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.

AriseGhana Youth for your country.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators and will RISE UP using legal and constitutional means to save Ghana and themselves from the Kleptomaniac Akufo-Addo-Bawumia mess.

God Save Our Homeland Ghana and help us RESIST OPPRESSOR’S RULE.
