The Anlo Dukor Council has expressed its profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Dr. Johnson Asiama as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. The Council described Dr. Asiama as an accomplished economist with vast expertise in central banking and monetary policy. It noted that his appointment comes at a crucial time when Ghana needs strong financial leadership to navigate economic challenges and ensure the stability of the banking sector.
Dr. Asiama, who has served in various capacities in the financial sector, has been recognized for his contributions to monetary policy formulation and financial sector stability. The Council highlighted that, despite facing politically motivated attacks and unfounded allegations in the past, he has remained resolute in his dedication to national service. His exoneration and subsequent appointment, it added, underscore his competence and integrity.
The Anlo Dukor Council reaffirmed its full support for Dr. Asiama and urged all Ghanaians to rally behind him as he works towards restoring confidence in the financial system.
