Anlo Traditional Wrestling Team wins medals at National Traditional Wrestling Championship

They received GH¢ 150.00 for the 2nd place and Ghc 100.00 for each of the 3rd places respectfully, totaling GH¢ 350.00 as cash price.

The Anlo Traditional Wrestling Team formed in 2016 by the former Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Clement Kofi Humado, has participated and won medals at the just ended National Traditional Wrestling Championship held in Accra on Saturday October 2, 2021.

The team led by its Manager David Kovor picked three medals – a Silver medal and two Bronze medals. Tsidi Seyram won the silver medal while John Dekagbe and Adjei Amos picked the bronze medals.

They received GH¢ 150.00 for the 2nd place and Ghc 100.00 for each of the 3rd places respectfully, totaling GH¢ 350.00 as cash price.

Certificates were awarded to each of the positions and a certificate of participation to each of the athletes.

A sponsorship T-shirt was presented to each of the athletes from Passion Drink Company located in Accra.

Team  Members who could not hide their joy expressed a profound gratitude to Lawyer Ivan Akrobortu for his financial sponsorship.

The silver medalist Tsidi Seyram is expected to join the Ghana National Team for training ahead of the impending ECOWAS Games slated November 4-6, 2021 in Senegal.
