The largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says its parliamentary candidate in the Assin North by-election, James Gyakye Quayson, is willing to make sacrifices for his constituents, even if it means imprisonment after the polls.
According to the National Organizer of the NDC, just as Gyakye Quayson, is willing to make sacrifices his constituents are are also ready to do same for him and vote massively for him in the June 20 by-election.
Yammin expressed gratitude to Gyakye Quayson for his efforts in expediting stalled developmental projects in the constituency after the 2020 elections and added that even if he is imprisoned after being re-elected, another by-election would be organized, which could contribute to the completion of ongoing projects.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, Yammin emphasized that Gyakye Quayson, the former MP of the constituency, is highly popular and appealing, making the NDC confident in retaining the seat.
“We have a more popular and appealing candidate than any other parliamentary candidate in that area.”
