The Member of Parliament (MP) for Sissala West, Mohammed Adam Sukparu, has taken Vice President, Dr Bawumia to the cleaners over his handling of the economy.
Making a mockery of Tuesday’s lecture by the Veep on the government’s digitalization agenda, Mr Sukparu questioned why Dr Bawumia had relegated his economic credentials to the background and rather challenged his energy on digitalisation, which he says does not put money in the pocket of the ordinary Ghanaian.
According to him, judging from the economic mess created by the Vice President, he wanted to find an easy route out by spearheading a digital agenda.
Speaking on Accra-based Pan African TV, Mr Sukparu said the Vice President had suffered a credibility crisis considering he was unable to proffer a single solution to turn around the fortunes of the economy.
“This particular lecture is something that I cannot make a head or tail out of it. Dr Bawumia is struggling to redeem his credibility, he is suffering from credibility crisis,” he stressed.
Explaining further, he said the Vice President’s credentials had been called to question after some of his past pronouncements turned out to be false.
“Dr Bawumia as we speak today is struggling with a credibility crisis. He made certain pronouncements in the past that turned out to be untrue. He said every Ghanaian, was going to have a bank account, has that happened?” he quizzed.
