The Vice President and the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is on a 3-days working visit to the Republic of Italy and the Vatican State.
In a statement signed by the Spokesperson to the Vice President, Gideon Boako indicated that the visit is aimed at further strengthening the enduring relations between Ghana, the Republic of Italy and Vatican State.
“The Vice President, H.E.DR. Mahamudu Bawumia, departed Ghana last night for a working visit to the Republic of Italy and the Vatican State. This visit aims to further strengthen the enduring relations between Ghana, the Republic of Italy and Vatican State.” The statement said.
Adding that, Dr. Bawumia will hold bilateral talks with people including His Holiness Pope Francis.
He said the meeting will highlight our common principles of peace, justice, and solidarity to guide us into a better future.
“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is scheduled to hold bilateral talks, including His Holiness Pope Francis. The Pope’s message of love, mercy and inclusion, which he has devoted himself to promoting unity and mutual understanding between all peoples, has been embraced around the world. The Vice President who was accompanied by some government officials is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
