Bawumia looked into Akufo-Addo’s eyes and told him he’s wicked for introducing e-levy — Kwaku Boahen

According to Kwaku Boahen, Bawumia confronted Akufo-Addo, telling him he was “wicked” for introducing the e-levy and vowed to scrap it if he becomes President.

In a shocking revelation, Kwaku Boahen, a prominent political commentator, has exposed a heated exchange between Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and President Nana Akufo-Addo over the controversial e-levy policy.

According to Kwaku Boahen, Bawumia confronted Akufo-Addo, telling him he was “wicked” for introducing the e-levy and vowed to scrap it if he becomes President.

Kwaku Boahen questioned Bawumia’s respect for his superior, saying, “If he’s not wicked and disrespectful, he wouldn’t have said this to an old man like Akufo-Addo.”

Kwaku Boahen’s criticism comes as Bawumia takes the reins as leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). “You are now the leader of NPP, why don’t you scrap the e-levy now?” Boahen challenged.

The e-levy, introduced by the Akufo-Addo administration, has been a contentious issue, with many Ghanaians expressing frustration over the additional tax burden. As Bawumia navigates his new leadership role, the fate of the e-levy hangs in the balance.
