Bernard Blay hands over leadership as Bia West DCE

During his tenure, Bernard Blay spearheaded several developmental initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents and advancing the district’s infrastructure and services.

Bernard Gyebi Blay, the outgoing District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West, officially handed over to the District Coordinating Director, Francis Adu-Nimako, following the end of his tenure at midnight on January 6, 2025.

The formal handover took place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in line with directives.

Bernard Blay expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Bia West for entrusting him with the responsibility to serve the district.

“It has been an honour to work with and for the people of Bia West. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and support I received throughout my tenure. May God bless you all,” he stated.

During his tenure, Bernard Blay spearheaded several developmental initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents and advancing the district’s infrastructure and services.

His leadership witnessed significant strides in education, healthcare, and community development.

The new acting DCE who Doubles as the District Coordinating Director, Francis Adu-Nimako, is expected to continue overseeing the district’s administrative functions as preparations for the appointment of a new DCE commence.
