The team left Accra, where a training ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola began.

About a dozen players trained at the Accra Sports Stadium with the head coach, Otto Addo, and all his assistants including John Paintsil and Fatawu Dauda in attendance. The three had been involved in an accident a couple of days earlier.

The team arrived in Kumasi Tuesday morning and has been scheduled to continue training ahead of the game against the Palancas Negras.

Ghana were in the same group with the 2023 AFCON quarter-finalists during qualifiers.

After a 1-0 win in Kumasi, the Black Stars drew 1-1 with the Central Africans in Luanda.

Immediately after Thursday’s game, the Black Stars will move to Morocco, where they are billed to play Niger in the next qualifier for Morocco 2025.
