Speaking to AviationGhana on Saturday, April 9, Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency in the Volta Region and the ranking member on the Transport Committee of Parliament, commended the airline for putting in place arrangements to clear the backlog on Saturday, April 9—a day after the incident.

British Airways (BA) had to operate two flights on the London-Accra route on Saturday, April 9, 2022 to cater for the backlog of passengers due to the incident.

A joint statement issued by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) on April 9, 2022 confirmed the incident and the arrangements thereof to cater for the backlog.
