Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, brother of Late President John Evans Atta Mills, who also doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem constituency in the Central Region has vowed to discipline Kwame Baffoe (Abronye DC), the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region if he does not stop poking fun at the death of his late brother.
“You cannot make fun over somebody’s death for whatever reason!” he exclaimed in an interview with this Opera News on Wednesday.
Passionate about the issue, Hon. Atta Mills, known for his gentle and meek charisma stated that if Abronye does not shut up but continues to poke fun at his brother’s death, he will meet the wrath of his family who will invoke the spirits of the family to deal with him. In such a case, he indicated, Abronye will have to go to the spiritual world to answer questions pertaining to the issue himself.
The soft-spoken MP, who appeared palpably worried about the issue, maintained that he was on “Accra FM” radio last Friday morning, and when the matter came up, he invoked the spirits of their grandparents to stand up and intervene in this issue.
He said Abronye had tried his patience for far too long that it had reached its elastic end. “I have exhausted my patience with Abronye, and if he does not keep quiet, I will drag him to court”, he exclaimed. “If you are a fool, but do not know that you are a fool, then we should feel sorry for you. And if you step on a frog for far too long, it will say wow!!!
While indicating that Abronye is not a disciplined person, Hon. Atta Mills contended that there is no one responsible enough to advise him, either on the political or family levels hence his uncouf behaviour. “Indeed, it is true the saying, “where ignorance is bliss, its folly to be wise!” he exclaimed angrily.
“All the same, I don’t blame him because there has been a hole at the side of the ant hill, thereby allowing all sorts of rodents and pests to enter! Nevertheless, he should be warned, or else, I will discipline him!! “Hon. Atta Mills stated with a sigh.
He indicated that this issue concerns a former President of this country whose gardener, Abronye was not fit to be, were he alive. “So why should you poke fun at his death?” he queried again angrily
