Bryan Acheampong’s ‘NPP will not hand over power to NDC’ comment is a stage talk – Deputy Defence Minister

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has said his party will not sign any peace pact ahead of the December 7 election.

The Deputy Defense Minister, Kofi Amankwa Manu, has downplayed his colleague Bryn Achampong’s controversial comment regarding the 2024 election outcome.

Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, sparked outrage when he declared that the ruling party (NPP) would not hand over power to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) if they lost the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has said his party will not sign any peace pact ahead of the December 7 election.

In an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, the Atwima Kwanwoma MP described Bryan Acheampong’s  comment regarding the election as mere stage talk.
