C/R: Hunter arrested for allegedly murdering friend

Mr Emmanuel Donkoh, a 26-year-old hunter, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his friend, 57-year-old Kwaku Aboagye, known locally as “Accra Bread.”

The late Aboagye went missing on January 26, 2024, during a hunting expedition.

After receiving a tip that Mr Donkoh was last seen with him, a police team led by Detective Corporal Nii Armah Ashitey, also known as “Otafregya,” apprehended Mr Donkoh.

At first, Mr Donkoh denied any knowledge of late Aboagye’s whereabouts.

However, after intense questioning, he confessed to killing his friend during their hunting trip.

Mr Donkoh revealed that the incident occurred in the Kakum Forest Reserve, near Assin Seidukrom.

In a grim twist, he led the police to the site where they discovered the late Aboagye’s skeletal remains, which were identified by his distinctive Wellington boots, black T-shirt, and black trousers.

The motive for the killing remains unclear, and police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
