Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Percival Kofi Akpaloo has pledged to award the Hearts of Oak playing body and the technical team hugely should they be able to triumph over Wydad Casablanca.
After eliminating Guinean side, CI Kamsar in a one-off game at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Ghana Premier League champions will face the Moroccan giants in the second round of the preliminary games.
According to the vociferous politician, he will award the players and the coach [Samuel Boadu] should they win the game.
“I will give every Hearts of Oak player Gh¢1,000 and Gh¢2,000 to the coach should they beat WAC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday,” Kofi Akpaloo told Kumasi based Otec FM.
“So far as Hearts is a Ghanaian team, it’s my prayer they progress to the next stage of the competition.
“They should go all out with the Phobian spirit as they did to win the Ghana Premier League,” he added.
The game between Hearts of Oak and Wydad Casablanca is scheduled for Sunday, 17th October, 2021 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Meanwhile, a total number of 2,000 fans have been granted access to watch the game on Sunday due to Covid-19.
