CAFCL: Asante Kotoko to commence campaign against Burkinabe side Kadiogo

The Kumasi club makes its return to Africa’s elite club football competition after exiting in the first round of the 2019-2020 Season losing 3-4 on aggregate to Nigeria’s Kano Pillars.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been drawn against RC Kadiogo from Burkina Faso in the first round of the 2022-2023 CAF Champions League.

The match-up was confirmed on Tuesday August 9, 2022 by Africa’s football governing body CAF.

The game is due to take place on the weekend of September 9 to September 11 with the second leg scheduled to take place between September 16 to September 18.

Kotoko won last season’s Ghana Premier League title under head coach Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum.
