Chanzo Capital, partners name startups and scaleups to pitch at 11th Angel Fair Africa

These selected ventures have already participated in the annual program by Entrepreneur Partners.

Chanzo Capital, in collaboration with Startup Bootcamp Africa, MEST Africa, ANTLER, iHub, and GrowthAfrica, has announced the selection of ten startups and ten scaleups from Tanzania, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Mozambique to pitch at the 11th Angel Fair Africa.

The event will take place on November 7-8 at the Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre (TRIFIC) in Nairobi.

The first day of the fair will focus on emerging startups seeking angel, pre-seed, and seed capital, while the second day will highlight scaleups looking for seed, Series A, and B funding.

These selected ventures have already participated in the annual program by Entrepreneur Partners.

Notably, one cohort has recently graduated from the Spark Accelerator program managed by iHub, while others have completed the MEST Africa Challenge.

Additionally, a group of scaleups has finished the first phase of the Chanzo Onespace Startup and Scaleup (COSSA) Accelerator program, overseen by ASSL.

The ventures undergo a two-tier preparation process, starting with initial screening and training by the Entrepreneur Partners, followed by further refinement by the Angel Fair Africa (AFA) team.

This culminates in the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp scheduled for November 4-6 at Onespace within the TRIFIC facility.

Brenda Mbathi, CEO of TRIFIC, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the event, stating, “We are excited to welcome these incredible startups and scaleups to the 11th Angel Fair Africa at TRIFIC—this aligns perfectly with our innovation hub program.” She emphasised that the venue is ideal for such a significant event.

Ian Kabiru, CEO of Onespace, added, “Our partnership with TRIFIC has enabled us to create a home for African businesses in this special economic zone. Collaborating with Chanzo Capital to establish the COSSA Accelerator is foundational in bringing these startups and scaleups to the 11th Angel Fair Africa.”
