As part of ascertaining the impact of the running mates to the two main presidential contenders in the upcoming December elections, Global InfoAnalytics has conducted two fresh polls to analyse their effect on the chances for their flag bearers.
This is a comparative data for the possible effect of Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s selection as John Mahama’s running mate, to determine how her selection and her nearly two months of campaigning has impacted the voting pattern in the Central region between July and August 2024, where the party also launched its manifesto.
NPP voters supporting JDM declined by nearly 0.5%, NPP voting for DMB up by 8%, NPP voting for AKK has declined by 1.5%, NPP voting for NKB down 5.3% and for others , 0.8%. For NDC voting for JDM, it is up by 11.4%, NDC voting for DMB down 4.7%, NDC for AKK down 1.9%, NDC for NKB 2.1% and NDC for others down 2.8%.
Among floating voters in the Central region, the shift is again very huge. JDM support among floating voters increased by whopping 62.8%, DMB dropped by 10.5%, AKK dropped by 40.2%, NKB dropped by 4.2% and others dropped 8%.
For those who support others, JDM declined by 1.1%, DMB increased by 46.6%, AKK dropped by 46.1%, NKB went up by 11.8%, and others declined by 11.2%.
Among those who did not disclose their party affiliations, JDM increased by 56%, DMB dropped 9.3%, AKK dropped by 16.5%, NKB dropped by 25.8% and others too dropped by 4.4%.
