In a bold move that could reshape Ghana’s future, Nana Kwame Bediako, known to many as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar, has declared his intention to run for President in the upcoming December 2024 elections. Bediako’s audacious plan includes raising a staggering $50 billion by tapping into the African diaspora and other Africans worldwide. His vision? To make Ghana the epicenter of African unification and economic power.
Bediako, leader of the newly-formed New Force Movement, outlined his ambitious strategy in a manifesto titled “The 12 Pillars for Economic Freedom.” At the core of his plan is Pillar 10, which he dubs “Ghana’s first $50 billion.” The goal is to attract one million Africans to invest $50,000 each in Ghana in exchange for citizenship and passports. These investments would flow into key sectors like gold, oil, and agro-processing, driving unprecedented economic growth.
But Bediako’s vision goes beyond economics. He aims to initiate the “Project USA – United States of Africa,” starting in Ghana. His grand agenda envisions a borderless continent where trade, investment, and unity among African nations and people of African descent will flourish. By offering Ghanaian citizenship to African investors, he believes Ghana can raise the necessary capital independently, without relying on Western aid.
“The moment is now,” Bediako proclaimed, urging Africans across the globe to invest in Ghana’s future. He emphasized that this initiative marks the beginning of a new era—one where Africa takes control of its destiny, united by shared values and economic interdependence.
The manifesto unveiling took place at the Accra International Conference Centre, where Bediako arrived in dramatic fashion, driving a tipper truck painted in Ghana’s national colors. As he delivered his speech, the flags of Ghana and the New Force Movement flew high, symbolizing his resolve to lead Ghana into a new age of prosperity.
As he prepares for the December election, Bediako’s 12 Pillars, including the ambitious citizenship-for-investment program, are set to challenge the status quo and offer a visionary path forward for Ghana and Africa at large.
