There is no gain saying that sermons are not only among the integral part of worship, but also they are cardinal, important and necessary in church worship.
In this vain, when it comes to sermons, City Temple International Ministries (CTIM) stands tall as the Ministry continues to roll out powerful sermons week after in its services through rotating Pastors both home and abroad.
This came to light following a little – over a month’s worship with the Ministry by our reporter, S. O. Ankamah, and in the period under consideration the church has rolled out such power messages or sermons as (1) “Don’t put out yourself, but look up to Jesus” which was delivered by Pastor Osby, a.k.a, Pastor Osei Boafo, Pastor in charge of the U.K. Headquarters of the Ministry; (2) The blessing of the crazy donkeys – Feed the crazy donkeys”, delivered by Mrs. Ofosu – Asare, another UK-based Pastor of the church. Then comes in Pastor Daniel Boafo, in charge of the Accra Branch of the Church at Tantra Hill in Accra. He rolls out such powerful sermons as “Give Timely Assistance to Others in Times of Need”, “Let your offering come from your heart, and “Humility is the first step to Leadership”.
Humility is the First Step to Leadership
Quoting from Exodus 3:13 – 15, Pastor David Boafo narrated the wonderful circumstances under which Moses was born hidden in a net basket near River Nile, his discovery, his upbringing and training in the palace of Pharaoh in Egypt. This was on June 6, 2021.

Pastor Boafo pointed out that by this very upbringing and training, Moses was groomed for leadership anterior for Egypt and spiritually for the Jewish community there, which finally led him to leading the Jewish Egypt – bonded community from slavery to the promised land.
I AM
With his theme “I AM”, Pastor Boafo indicated that Moses’ leadership qualities were clear while in Pharaoh’s Palace. Sadly enough, his leadership lost youthful exuberance when he killed an Egyptian in defense of a Jew, his blood tribe, whose interest and passion were at heart, his Egyptian upbringing and training notwithstanding.
The Pastor pointed out that fearing exposure for his deed, he had to run away from the comfort in Pharaoh’s palace to Median where he became a mere shepherd to Jethro who later became his Father-in-Law.
Lost Leadership
Pastor Boafo taught further that Moses leadership Egyptian then got lost, as he had descended into commonness, by becoming a mere shepherd.
However, since “what has been ordained can never be lost”, God, I AM, came in via his encounter in the burning – but – unconsumed bush. Out of curiosity, Moses sought to find out why where he was standing was a holy ground. This, Pastor David Boafo described as a sign of humility. A situation, he said, was required by everyone in leadership. He stated that at this crossroads period in Moses’ life, God, I am restored, not only his leadership, but also boosted his confidence as he had to go to Pharaoh’s palace, where he had become a fugitive as a result of his murderous act.
I Am has sent me
Pastor David Boafo mentioned that when God charged Moses to go back to the dreaded Pharaoh’s palace to demand of him to “Let His people go”, a confused Moses asked of God, what he should tell the Jews, what and who (the name of the one) had sent him on this mission.
But the Lord told Moses simple, “Tell the people that I AM has sent me”.
Significance of I AM
Postulating on I AM and its significance, Pastor David Boafo asked a rhetoric question why God should say “I AM has sent me”. Explaining further, the Pastor stated that this pointed to the fact that God is sovereign and holy. Touching on the sovereignty of God, the Pastor stated that God was supreme, authoritative, domineering and all powerful.
Subsequently, his power surpassed all others as there was none to contest him in this regard. It is against this background that all should worship him only and no other deity, as all power belongs to him.
On His Holiness, Pastor Boafo described God as righteous, pure, genuine and ever thankful. He does not remerge on His promises. He is also forgiving and sincere. Therefore, whoever wants to get God’s blessings should endeavour to attain these attributes.
