The next John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government has pledged to prioritize the development of technical and managerial programs for Assembly Sanitation Officers to effectively manage and supervise the operation of all water resource infrastructure in Ghana.
This initiative according to the NDC, aims to enhance the capacity of sanitation officers to efficiently oversee water resource management, ensuring the provision of clean water and improved sanitation services for all Ghanaians.
The program will focus on equipping officers with the necessary skills and expertise to properly operate and maintain water treatment plants, dams, and other water infrastructure. This will help to prevent waterborne diseases, reduce environmental pollution, and promote sustainable water management practices.
The NDC government’s commitment to investing in the training and development of Assembly Sanitation Officers demonstrates its dedication to addressing the country’s water and sanitation challenges. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on public health, economic growth, and environmental sustainability.
Ghanaians can expect improved access to clean water and enhanced sanitation services under the next NDC government, as part of its comprehensive development agenda to create a better Ghana for all as indicated by John Dramani Mahama.
