Collision on Tema Motorway Leaves Passengers Trapped

A statement issued by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on July 19, 2024, morning confirming the incident said it was caused by a collision between a DAF Fuel Tanker and a Sprinter Bus.

A collision between two vehicles along the Accra-Tema Motorway on Friday morning has left some individuals trapped.

The accident has also left the stretch with a heavy gridlock.

A statement issued by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on July 19, 2024, morning confirming the incident said it was caused by a collision between a DAF Fuel Tanker and a Sprinter Bus.

It however did not mention any casualty except that some passengers had been trapped. Personnel of the Service are currently at the scene to rescue the trapped victims.

“Crew from Motorway fire Station are at the scene to rescue trapped victims Involved.”

Meanwhile, it advised motorists to use alternative routes to avoid the gridlock.

“If you can please avoid that stretch and find Alternative Routes since the Accident has caused a Huge Traffic.”
