Commemorating Our Day: Western North Region Celebrates Asedakese Festival

Barely a year ago, through the unwavering pledge of the president to the good people of the western north, then part of the parent western region and other five demographies in the country went to the polls in a referendum to decide their faith for independence as a region. The results and success chalked is there for all to refer. This monumental achievement couldn’t have come to pass but for the tenacity and immersed involvement of Nananom of the Sefwi, Suaman and Aowin Traditional Councils.
Today, the good people of Western North can boast of it Regional Capital and Coordinating Council, and its ancillary benefits. It’s therefore not out of place for the people of the land to mark this history.
In the light of these that come December 2019, the Chiefs and people of our land will celebrate this success story to commemorate the birth of our region. Nananom, through consultative measures have forein constituted a committee to see to the organization of programs of feast for the celebration of the one year anniversary of the region.
26th-28th of December respectively has been slated for the celebration of this all important Festival to be dubbed; ”Asedak3se3”.
Activities penciled down for the anniversary includes; Business Exhibitions, Youth Activities, Sports Tournament, Dinner and Dance, Awards Ceremony and a grand Durbar.
The good people of Western North Region will use this opportunity to express their sincere gratitude to the H. E President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, for  his contribution that has led to the realization of the dream that our Forefathers anticipated in their time. It will also serve as a solid platform for the region to account for it success after one year of independence, and also play a role as a maiden for an annual commemoration of the region.
The good people of the western North Region across the length and breadth of the country and even beyond are entreated to come-home to help make the mark a memorable one.
