The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region has extended congratulatory messages to the Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho, former Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, on his well-deserved nomination as a member of the Council of State and his subsequent election as the Chairman of the distinguished body.
A statement issued by the Volta regional Chairman of the party, Cde. Mawutor Agbavitor underscored Doe Adjaho’s “wealth of experience, deep understanding of governance, and unwavering commitment to serving this nation, making him the ideal leader to guide the Council in its critical advisory role to the President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama.”
“The Volta Region takes great pride in this appointment, which further cements the region’s place in Ghana’s political landscape – Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho’s elevation to this high office is not only a recognition of his illustrious career but also a testament to the caliber of leaders the Volta Region continues to produce. We are confident that his tenure as Chairman will bring wisdom, integrity, and stability to the Council’s deliberations, ultimately strengthening our democracy,” the statement added.
Additionally, the NDC praised the election and swearing-in of Cde. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, an accomplished businessman and philanthropist, as a member of the Council of State, noting that his inclusion further enriches the Council with valuable perspectives that will contribute to national development.
The statement reaffirmed the commitment of the NDC in the Volta Region to “supporting our distinguished sons and daughters in their service to Ghana.”
It further urged them to uphold the values of dedication, fairness, and excellence as they contribute their expertise for the benefit of the nation.
