Ghana Health Service (GHS) on Tuesday morning reported that the total confirmed Coronavirus cases (COVID-19) in the country now stands at 5,918 as at May 19, 2020.
According to the latest update on the pandemic, the death in the country has now jumped to 31 with 1,754 recoveries.
Dr. Badu Sarkodie of the Ghana Health Service disclosed this at a press conference in Accra.
The Director General of the GHS also disclosed that five patients are in a critical condition.
The health authorities in the country have so far conducted a total of 180, 567 tests, making it one of the leading countries in Africa to have conducted tests per million population.
Three regions out of the 16; Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East are yet to record any case of COVID-19.
