Ghanaian actor and comedian, Clement Bonney, popularly known as Mr Beautiful has said the flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama is the right man to provide solutions to the challenges bedeviling the creative industry.
Speaking in an interview on The Afternoon Show on TV3, Mr Beautiful asserted that John Mahama has in the past shown interest and care for creatives and he’s convinced the sector will thrive under the former President.
“We need a strong hand to help us to get the policies and certain rules and regulations that can help us. His Excellency John Mahama is one who cares about artistes. I believe he will do well for this industry and he cares about the industry a lot,” he said on Tuesday, September 10.
Mr Beautiful further emphasized that currently John Mahama funds the upkeep of some 20 aged actors and musicians.
According to him, this and other concerns shown by John Mahama shows his empathy for the creative arts industry and why he “believes he is the one who can help us get what we want.”
