The Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has commissioned a 300-seat ultramodern community centre in Damongo, the Savanna Regional Capital.
The MP stated that he made five major promises to the constituents prior to his becoming a member of parliament for the area including the construction of a modern and befitting Community Center for the people.
“I’m happy to be commissioning this centre two years into office as the member of parliament for the Constituency,” he said.
Also, the Minister for Land and Natural Resources, Abu Jinapor touted his achievements in the education sector and mentioned the donation of vehicles to the Damongo Senior High School and the Ghana Education Service office respectively.
He disclosed that in the next two weeks, he will be presenting a pickup vehicle to the Ndewura Jakpa Senior High School.
Speaking during the commissioning of the centre, the Minister disclosed that there is no constituency in Ghana including that of the President that has seen more of the youth gaining employment opportunities than the Damongo Constituency in the Savannah Region.
He assured the people that systematically, he will fulfil all the promises including sectors in education, agriculture, women empowerment and also make sure the majority of the youth are employed.
He mentioned how agricultural inputs are presented free of charge to farmers during every farming season to boost agriculture in the Constituency.
The flag of Damongo, he said, is lifted high in Ghana’s Parliament and he is proud to be made the first cabinet minister as an MP of the Damongo Constituency.
According to him, water is also set to flow soon in the Constituency as he is doing his best to solve that perennial problem once and for all for the people.
