DCE for Juaboso moves to Action

Even though the Assembly has sounded several warnings to these squatters they have turned death ear to the warnings and gone ahead to do their own things

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sefwi Juaboso, Godfred Kwabena Agyei Asante, has moved to remove squatters from the Juaboso market.

These squatters have taken over stalls built by the Assembly years back and installed their own structures on these stalls. Even though the Assembly has sounded several warnings to these squatters they have turned death ear to the warnings and gone ahead to do their own things. Structures put up by these squatters include warehouses, rice mills, cow ranches and many more.

This came to light during a tour of the market by the DCE and his entourage on Friday June 17, 2022. The entourage included, Kwaku Adjei Asante (Physical Planning Officer), Nana Amankwatia Assuman Thomas (Engineer) and Nana Ekye Kwaw chief of Kwawkrom.

According to the DCE, he will hold a management meeting on the issue after which he will invite all concerned to trash out the matter amicably. He indicated that if the squatters proved stubborn, then the Assembly will be compelled to  employ the needed minimum force to eject them.

The DCE also inspected a seventy-two (72) stall shed provided the previous DCE, Martha Kwayie Manu, which is not yet commissioned.
