Deputy Minister of Finance Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah turned up at the media launch of the 2024 Wealth and Jobs Expo on Wednesday, 21st February 2024.
The Expo being led by the private sector is designed to invoke the spirit of wealth creation and the development of sustainable jobs for the Ghanaian youth.
In his address, he highlighted the many intervention undertaken by government to create wealth and jobs for the Ghanaian youth and how the NPP-led government is leveraging on E-levy ( which generated GHC 1.19 billion in 2023) to inject more capital into the businesses of MSMEs in Ghana.
“As a deputy Minister incharge of wealth creation, I guarantee the acceleration of many more innovative programmes to tackle the unemployment situation in the country”, he shared on his official Facebook page.
The event was chaired by Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong CEO of Special Ice and in attendance was, H.E. Michael A. Oquaye Jnr – CEO of Ghana Free Zones Authority, Mrs Jemima Oware– Registrar General, H.E. Ahmed Hassan, Ambassador at Large Chairman of the Advisory Board, David Asante-Apeatu
